At the time Debra Lee Won’t Break is going to print, the US government has taken aim at our most vulnerable citizens. People with disabilities, people living in poverty, immigrants, and the elderly—people like Deb and Betty, Rosa and Philippe—and most especially trans people and members of the LGBTQIA community are being targeted. Government funds are being withdrawn and civil liberties are under attack.
While this fight continues, our friends and neighbors will be relying on nonprofit organizations more than ever. And those nonprofits rely on volunteers and donors like you.
